Abu Dhabi: A Saudi teacher has died while conducting an online lesson, local media reported.
Mohammad Hassan, who taught IT at a private secondary school in Dammam, fell while conducting lessons, and died minutes later.
Dammam is the sixth-most populous city in the Kingdom and the capital of the Eastern Province.
Spokesperson for Eastern Region Education, Saeed Al Bahes, mourned the teacher, who was conducting his lessons from home on Saudi Arabia’s “My School” (Madrasati) platform.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the Saudi Ministry of Education has set up the Madrasati platform, which serves over six million students and their parents, and 525,000 people in education posts.
