Cairo: Saudi police have arrested a citizen after he had posted child porn photos online, local media reported.

The Interior Ministry said the 26-year-old man had been arrested in the western city of Yanbu after he had posted the photos on Twitter, news portal Ajel said.

The man is being in custody pending completion of legal procedures to refer him to public prosecution.

Dealing in porn materials is an offence in Saudi Arabia punishable by maximum five years in jail and a fine of SR3 million.
