Five Pakistanis held over phone scams in Saudi Arabia
Suspects netted SR300,000 using illegal methods

Dubai: Five Pakistani expats, aged between 30 to 40, have been arrested by Riyadh Police, for suspected phone scams and sending text messages on mobile phones of citizens and residents with fraudulent content, local media reported.
The messages included requests to update bank data and fake announcements about winning cash prizes in order to hack into the bank accounts of people who receive messages, and make wire transfers and cash withdrawals.

He said that, 13 mobile devices were seized from them, which contained fraudulent text messages and data for various ATM debit cards.
Al Kreidis confirmed the suspects have been arrested and legal measures have been taken against them after being referred to the Public Prosecution.
