Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Sunday reported 910 new COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths and 1,226 recoveries, marking the Kingdom's lowest daily reported infections in several months. Thirty deaths were also registered during the past 24 hours, the health ministry said during its press conference.

This takes the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 314,821, and recoveries to 289,667. The death tally has now climbed to 3,870, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali said.

“Coronavirus is under control with a significant decline in daily reported infections and active cases,” the spokesperson added.

There are 21,284 active cases in the country, of which 1,545 are critical under intensive care.

Makakh again topped the list of cities with newly detected cases with 66 infection, followed by Jeddah with 64, and Riyadh 45, and Medina 41.

The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al Abdul Ali said.
