Dubai: Saudi Arabia has confirmed the detection of 498 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the kingdom’s infection tally to 331,857.
The virus has claimed 30 lives during the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll to 4,599, Dr. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali, Health Ministry’s spokesperson said during a press conference today.

Active cases have continued to drop with only 12,465 left on Thursday, including 1,090 that are critical and still receiving intensive care.
Jeddah reported the highest daily detected cases with 53, followed by Hufof with 50 cases, and Mecca with 46. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the kingdom, Dr. Al Abdul Ali added.
