Dubai: Qatar has witnessed a slight increase in the daily COVID-19 infections with 313 new cases reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 123,917, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced today.
Meanwhile, 226 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 120,766.
Out of the 313 new cases, 296 are local cases and 17 from travellers returning from abroad.
The ministry said it conducted 4,590 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 734,141 tests. There are 46 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 418.
Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 66.
The country’s death toll remains the same (211)as no new fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours.
