Qatar records 251 new coronavirus cases

Dubai: Qatar today reported 251 new coronavirus cases, an increase of 57 cases over Monday, when there were only 194 infections, the Ministry of Public Health said.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 126,727; 2,834 of these are active cases, including 358 patients who are critical and in intensive care.

No new fatalities have been reported during the past 24 hours, keeping the death toll at 216.

The ministry also announced the full recovery of 229 patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 123,893. A further 4,846 people have undergone PCR tests in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of people tested across the country to 805,365.
