Qaboos confers Tanzanian President with Oman Civil Order

Muscat: Oman’s Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed on Monday conferred Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete with the Oman Civil Order First Class at Al Alam Palace Guest House. The Omani leader later hosted an official dinner at Al Alam Palace Guest House in honour of the Tanzanian president and his accompanying delegation. Sultan Qaboos and the Tanzanian President exchanged commemorative gifts on the occasion of his visit to the Sultanate.

Earlier, His Majesty received the Tanzanian president who on Monday started a visit to the Sultanate lasting several days in response to an invitation from His Majesty and in recognition of the historic relations binding the two countries.

An official welcome ceremony was given at Al Alam Palace for the guest.
