One killed in Oman mall knife attack

Muscat: Muscat: One Oman police officer was knifed to death by an attacker at the City Centtre mall in Muscat, Oman police confirmed on their Twiter account. Two others were wounded in the attack. Earlier, there were reports that the killing was a result of a shooting. One suspect has been arrested.

Police called on people not to circulate images or videos related to this crime.

There were also reports that the person accused of the murder carried a document indicating that he was mentally ill.
