Oman police foil another attempt to smuggle drugs

Muscat The Royal Oman Police has foiled yet another attempt by a passenger to smuggle drugs into the country by swallowing capsules .

Acting on a tip-off, the police caught a Pakistani national when he arrived at the Muscat International Airport. “He had swallowed 89 capsules filled with heroin,” a spokesperson for the ROP’s Public Relations Department said.

The alleged smuggler was taken to the ROP hospital for check-up and capsules were removed from his stomach.
