Cairo: Following a criminal trial, an Omani court has convicted two people for killing a gazelle and sentenced them to six months in prison.
The Criminal Court in Muscat also ordered both topay a fine of OMR1,000 each, online newspaper Shabiba said.

The same defendant was also found guilty of possessing an unlicensed firearm and was ordered to pay a fine of OMR500 and an extra OMR300 for possessing a gun telescope.
The court ordered the arms and a vehicle used in the crime to be confiscated, and the two defendants to pay all legal fees, the report added.
