Muscat: Oman’s foreign minister has said that the lifting of sanctions on Iran will have a positive impact on the region, Oman News Agency reported.
“The ghost of wars have disappeared and will hopefully disappear forever,” Yousuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah said.
International and regional parties, will, over time, narrow their differences with Iran, he added.
He called on all parties to join hands to “overcome challenges and ensure public interest”.
Oman played a critical role in mediating US talks with Iran over its nuclear programme. In November 2014, Muscat hosted a round of negotiations between the two countries.
