Police recover 13,690 tablets of Tramadol from Sohar

Muscat: Oman Police have seized a huge amount of Tramadol tablets with the arrest of an Asian drug peddler from Sohar, about 231km north of Muscat, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release.

The Narcotics Control Department of ROP in north Batinah region received information that the accused was trying to trade the narcotic. “He was caught and the officers found 13,690 tablets of Tramadol in his possession,” a spokesman for the ROP said.

He urged citizens as well as residents to inform ROP about any suspect using or trading in narcotics by calling 9999 or contacting the nearest police station.
