Muscat: Ten people, including three Emiratis, have been killed and 16 injured in road accidents over the past few days in Oman.
Haitham Al Rahbi from the Public Relations Department at the Royal Oman Police denied reports that three Bangladeshis, who died in an accident in Suwaiq, were UAE residents.
Last Friday a pleasure trip turned into tragedy for three Emiratis. Their Nissan Patrol overturned at Haima killing the driver, Mohammad Bin Hassan Al Hosni, and passenger Esmail Bin Ali Al Hammadi. The third passenger in the four-wheel drive, Zahir Bin Hussanein Al Hammadi was injured and is being treated at Nizwa Hospital.
In Rustaq on Saturday, a driver died on the spot and a passenger was seriously injured after their car turned on its side.
An unidentified motorcyclist was killed in Ibri when he was hit by a car. An Emirati died and his brother was injured when they were knocked down by a vehicle in Buraimi on Saturday.
