Shaikh Jaber is expected to form his government this week

Manama: Kuwait's new prime minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak was sworn in on Sunday, Kuwaiti media.

Shaikh Jaber, who was appointed last week to succeed Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammad, took the oath before the Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad in the presence of the crown prince, News Agency (Kuna) reported.

According to media reports, Shaikh Jaber will form his government this week.
