Manama: Kuwait's cabinet could be announced by the middle of next week, the information minister has said.

"The sons and daughters of Kuwait last week made their choice for the parliament," Shaikh Hamad Jaber Al Ali said.

"We expect the government will be formed and announced by the middle of next week," he said as he inaugurated on Tuesday evening an art exhibition.

The government resigned on Sunday after overseeing the parliamentary elections on Thursday, and the Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber reappointed caretaker Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah, who was appointed premier in November amid intense political turmoil, to form the new cabinet.

Speculations have been mounting, mainly in print and social network media, about the names of the ministers, but no official remarks have been made.
