COVID-19: Kuwait records 494 new cases, 2 deaths

Cairo: Kuwait Thursday confirmed 494 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s overall infections to 105,676, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported, citing a health official.

Two more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 612, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said.

There are 139 patients receiving intensive care treatment, he added in an update.

Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 751,163 after 3,930 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have risen to 97,197 after 509 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
