Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) announced on Friday that they updated the digital ID application, Kuwait Mobile ID, to allow vaccination data of people to be connected directly to their Civil ID, local media reported.
The General Director of PACI, Musaad Al Asousi, revealed that that the online ID application will have new features that allows those that are vaccinated to have their information connected directly to their ID number.
This comes as Kuwait starts lifting restrictions on those that are vaccinated. Last week, Kuwait’s Cabinet of Ministers announced that starting on May 22 only vaccinated Kuwaitis and their family members can travel. In addition, the cinemas will be opening during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, but only to those that are vaccinated.
The Ministry of Health launched a vaccination application, Immune, that gives a person a digital certificate to prove they have been vaccinated. One receives a certificate after getting both doses or after their first dose if they got COVID-19 90 days before their first jab.
The certificate is key especially as countries are now opening up only for those that are vaccinated.
