Ministry mourns Emirati officer’s death in Bahrain

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Ministry of Interior on Monday mourned the death of one of its police officer in a Bahrain blast that targeted police personnel in Manama.

First Lieutenant Tarek Mohammad Al Shehi died along with his two Bahraini counterparts in the blast, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said, “Lt. Al Shehi joined the elite group of honourable martyrs who sacrificed their lives to defend the rights, protect innocent people and help brethren”.

The ministry asked Allah Almighty to grant his family and relatives patience and solace to bear his loss.

Al Shehi was known for his high morals, hard work, devotion and sincere commitment to fulfilling his duty, as well as courage in all tasks, the statement added.
