Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health detected 658 new cases of COVID-19 in foreign workers and some from recent arrivals to the kingdom, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 60,965.
Health officials said that 82 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 570 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and 6 travel related.

The latest update reveals that there are currently 124 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 30 are in a critical condition. Over 6,518 cases are stable out of a total of 6,548 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 54,204.
Bahrain reported one fatality – a 65-year-old male citizen from coronavirus death taking the toll to 213.
The latest cases were detected after the ministry conducted over 11,337 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours.
