Bahrain arrests 14 Chinese with fake Japanese passports

Manama: Bahrain police on Sunday arrested 14 Chinese nationals with fake Japanese passports.

The detainees had attempted to enter the country on a pre-dawn flight from a neighbouring country, sources told Gulf News.

The police, who had doubts about the authenticity of the last two passports, detained their holders and eventually arrested the remaining 12 suspects from hotels.

The sources said that the airport police also arrested two Iranians. Details were awaited.
