Trio remanded in London bombing case

London: The first three people charged over the 7/7 London terror attacks were remanded in custody when they appeared in court on Saturday.

Mohammed Shakil, Sadeer Saleem and Waheed Ali were charged with conspiring with the July 7, 2005 suicide bombers who triggered four blasts that killed 52 people in London's transport network.

Their alleged co-conspirators are the four men who detonated rucksack bombs on three London Tube trains and a bus: Mohammed Siddique Khan, Shezhad Tanweer, Jermaine Lindsay and Hasib Hussein.

Senior District Judge Timothy Workman remanded the three in custody to appear for a preliminary hearing on April 20.
