Climate talks bog down in last-minute disputes

Copenhagen: The UN climate talks are running into serious problems, just hours before President Barack Obama and other world leaders are scheduled to gather for their climate summit.

Swedish Environment Minister Andreas Carlgren, a European Union spokesman, says an agreement to be presented to the leaders has not yet emerged because of continued contention between developing and developed nations.

Carlgren says it's now "up to world leaders" to reach an accord in Copenhagen.

Other delegates also report continued disputes in the closed negotiating session on Friday.
