Barcelona: Catalan President Carles Puigdemont said that Catalonia will not accept Madrid's plan to curb the region's autonomy.

Spain government actions do not respect "rule of law", he said.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy plans to remove Catalonia's leaders, and impose curbs on its parliament.

The planned move comes after the independence referendum that went ahead despite being banned by Spain's Constitutional Court.
