Bangkok: About 150 Thai riot police fled their checkpoint near Bangkok's besieged international airport on Saturday after they were attacked by anti-government protesters, a witness said.
The members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) hurled firecrackers and iron rods at the police manning the checkpoint on the expressway leading to Suvarnabhumi airport.
