New Delhi: A strong aftershock struck India's remote Andaman Islands on Saturday but there were no reports of damage, officials said.
No tsunami alert was issued after the magnitude is 5.7 earthquake struck, said Srinivas Kumar, an official at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services.
The US Geological Survey reported the quake's epicentre was southwest of Port Blair.
A similar magnitude earthquake on Friday in the same area caused no damage or casualties.
