India: Earthquake hits Himachal Pradesh

New Delhi: Tremors were felt in New Delhi Thursday afternoon after a moderate earthquake hit Himachal Pradesh, an official said.

The earthquake measured 5.0 on the Richter scale.

"The quake occurred at 1.41 p.m. The epicentre was Chamba-Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
