COVID-19: Shikhar Dhawan took to Twitter to post a video of himself batting against his son Zoravar in 'Quarantine Premier League'

Even though cricketing activities remain suspended in India, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Indian opening bastman Shikhar Dhawan seems to be ensuring he keeps practising. Dhawan posted a video playing the “Quarantine Premier League" with his son Zoravar, on April 22.

The 34-year old who plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), called it a “gripping moment Dhawan vs Dhawan”, in the caption of the video that has amassed over 126,0000 views.

In the video, Zoravar can be seen bowling to his father as the Indian opener defends the ball well on the off-side.

Twitter users loved the interesting commentary inputs along with crowd noises that could be heard in background. Others were impressed by the “super bowling by junior Dhawan”.

Recently, Dhawan had also posted a video urging people to help animals and birds during the lockdown. He posted: "During this lockdown, a lot of animals/birds who were dependent on us for their daily food are now going to go hungry. Humble request to you to put out food/water bowls outside your homes. From the safety of our homes, save some souls."

According to an NDTV.com report: “Sports across the globe took a massive hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Indian Premier League (IPL) has been postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 crisis in the country. The 2020 edition of the league was scheduled to start on March 29.”

With 1,409 new cases and 41 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, India's total number of COVID-19 positive cases reached 21,393 on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the report added.
