Dubai: Heat advisory was issued across parts of Southern California, all through Wednesday.
According to the LA Times, "A heat advisory was in effect through Wednesday, across Orange County’s inland areas – including Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Garden Grove, Orange, Fullerton, and Mission Vijeo. The advisory was also issued for the Inland Empire and San Diego County’s valleys and mountains."
Forecasters also warned residents that there could be a chance of elevated fire across portions of California for the rest of the week. The report states, “An increased risk of grass fires, with a potential for rapid spread due to gusty winds, hot temperatures and very low humidity.”
Reports also mention a fire weather warning issued by the weather service office in Reno, from Thursday to Friday, June 19 to 20, for Alpine and Mono counties, eastern Lassen county, and western Nevada.
The temperature is expected to reach 47 degree Celsius in Palm Springs, around 39.4 degree Celsius in Palmdale, San Bernardino, Santa Clarita, Woodland Hills, Ontario, Lake Elsinore, and Paso Robles.
Other parts of Southern California can expected temperature highs to be between 25.5 and 36.6 degree Celsius.
According to LA Times, “Most of Southern California is expected to experience the start of a cool-down starting Thursday.”
