Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast warning of soaring temperatures across the UAE today, with highs reaching a blistering 49°C in some internal areas.

Conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective cloud formation in eastern and southern regions — potentially bringing rainfall. A slight uptick in temperatures is also anticipated.

Maximum temperatures will range from 44°C to 49°C inland, while coastal and island areas can expect highs between 40°C and 45°C. Over mountainous areas, temperatures will be somewhat milder, ranging from 33°C to 39°C.

Humidity is forecast to increase overnight and into Tuesday morning, especially in coastal and internal areas, raising the risk of mist formation.

Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times during the day and potentially stirring up dust, which could reduce visibility. Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat, and take necessary precautions against dust exposure.
