Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert for parts of the UAE, warning of convective rainy cloud formation and strong winds reaching up to 50 km/h in eastern and southern areas, extending into some interior regions. These conditions are expected to continue until 11pm tonight, potentially causing dust storms and a sharp drop in horizontal visibility to less than 2,000 meters.

Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and comply with official safety instructions, as hazardous weather events may impact road safety and outdoor activities.

Earlier today, the NCM recorded the country’s lowest temperature at 25°C in Al Farfar, Fujairah, at 7:45am, marking a brief respite from the summer heat in higher elevation areas.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the NCM forecasts partly to mostly cloudy skies, with continued potential for convective cloud development over eastern and southern regions, possibly bringing rainfall.

Winds will be light to moderate from the Southeast to Northeast, occasionally freshening to 45 km/h, raising the risk of blowing dust and sand in exposed areas.

Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
