On the occasion of Union Pledge Day, the UAE has launched a humanitarian campaign offering early detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in Pakistan’s rural villages. The Emirates Mobile Heart Clinics are now operating in Sindh, delivering free healthcare services to the elderly, women, and children.

High-quality care, zero cost

Led by both Emirati and Pakistani doctors under the UAE’s Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme, the mobile clinics provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive services—all at no cost to patients. Specialised medical teams, including cardiologists, paediatricians, family doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and lab technicians, are part of the initiative.

Part of a 25-year UAE-Pakistan partnership

This effort builds on the UAE’s 25-year legacy of voluntary medical missions in Pakistan. Over one million patients have benefited from the UAE-Pakistan Field Clinics programme so far.

Collaborative effort for sustainable impact

The campaign is a joint initiative by the Zayed Giving Initiative, Sharjah Charity House, UAE Community Mobile Clinics, and the UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme. It represents a unique model of cooperation between government, private, and non-profit sectors.

‘Year of Community’ fuels expansion

Dr. Adel Al Shamry, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said the expanded mobile operations are in line with the UAE’s Year of Community, aiming to train and mobilise healthcare workers for underserved areas.

Sultan Al Khayyal, Secretary-General of Sharjah Charity House, noted that the 2025 plan targets more than 20 villages through a sustainable and scalable model.

Al Juri Al Ajmi, Director of the UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme, added that more villages will soon be reached as the clinics expand in coordination with local partners.

Gratitude from the ground

Residents praised the UAE’s humanitarian mission, calling it a lifeline for communities with limited healthcare access. Many highlighted the initiative as a continuation of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s enduring legacy of compassion and global outreach.
