Homemaker, salesman, printing press employee among latest winners
Dubai: Three Indian expats in the UAE have scored big in the latest Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Finest Surprise draw held on Wednesday , winning a luxury car and two high-end motorbikes.
Among the lucky winners is Nadeera Noushad, a 35-year-old homemaker based in south Indian state of Kerala, who won a BMW 740i M Sport (Tanzanite Blue Metallic) in Series 1929 with ticket number 0814, purchased online on July 27.
Though the ticket was in her name, it was her husband, an Indian expat based in Dubai, who bought it. He had shared the cost with 14 fellow Indian friends.
“Thank you so much to Dubai Duty Free. The money from selling this car will be a big help to all of us," he told the organisers on being informed about the win.
Binoy Ramachandran, a 44-year-old father of two based in Abu Dhabi, was named the winner of a BMW R12 NineT (719 Aluminium) motorbike in Series 633, thanks to ticket number 0872, purchased on August 6.
A regular participant in the draw for three years, Binoy works as a marketing executive for an international consumer brand.
"Thank you, Dubai Duty Free! I'm super happy and excited to see my winning motorbike,” he said.
Another Indian winner, Prajwal Shetty, a 32-year-old Dubai resident, won a BMW S 1000 R (Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow) in Series 634 with ticket number 0956, bought on 8 August.
A regular participant for six years, Shetty works for a printing company in Al Quoz.
"It's the best news ever! Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!" he said.
