Sharjah: In a deeply tragic incident, a 20-year-old Indian woman is believed to have taken the life of her one-year-and-four-month-old baby before ending her own.

According to the doctor who examined the scene, there were clear marks on the woman’s neck indicating suicide. The child was found dead, and initial findings suggest the mother was responsible for the baby’s death.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the family’s apartment. The Police Operations Room and emergency crew were alerted and quickly moved to the site.

The woman’s body was transferred to the hospital around 2pm, and later moved to the forensic laboratory for autopsy.
