The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued an administrative closure order against ‘Boha Butchery’ located in Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi, for violating the emirate’s food law and related regulations, as well as posing a risk to public health.

ADAFSA explained that the closure decision followed repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, which necessitated immediate action to safeguard food safety and consumer health.

The authority confirmed that the closure will remain in effect until the causes of the violations are addressed. The establishment may resume operations only after rectifying its situation in full compliance with all food safety requirements.

It further emphasized that administrative closures and the disclosure of violations are part of ADAFSA’s strategy to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi, ensuring that all food establishments undergo regular inspections to verify compliance, with a strong focus on proactive consumer protection.

ADAFSA also urged the public to report any violations detected in food establishments or to raise concerns about food products by calling the Abu Dhabi government’s toll-free number 800555, so that inspectors can take the necessary measures to ensure safe and sound food for all members of the community in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
