Dubai: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a dust alert for parts of the Al Dhafra region, warning of blowing dust and reduced horizontal visibility to less than 2,000 metres in Al Hamra and Tarfa areas. The alert is in effect until 7pm today.

The NCM has urged the public to remain cautious and to follow official advisories, as hazardous weather conditions may impact parts of the country.

In Dubai, residents are experiencing sunny yet dusty conditions this afternoon. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature recorded in the UAE today was 22.6°C in Mebreh Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah, at 6:45am.

Forecast for tomorrow

The weather on Thursday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with cloud cover increasing at times over the eastern and southern regions. There is also a chance of light rainfall in those areas.

Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly, remaining light to moderate, but may freshen at times during the day, causing blowing dust. Wind speeds will range between 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h.

Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The NCM continues to monitor weather patterns and has released updated forecasts, including temperature highs and lows across various cities in the UAE for the coming days.
