NCM warns of blowing sand and rough seas; slight temperature drop expected across the UAE

Dubai: Residents across the UAE can expect a relatively pleasant day today as temperatures see a gradual dip, according to the latest forecast from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather will be partly cloudy and dusty at times, with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds stirring up blowing dust and sand. These winds, clocking speeds between 10 to 25 km/h and gusting up to 40 km/h, may lead to reduced horizontal visibility in some areas.
Temperature highs are forecast to range between 42°C and 46°C in the country's interior regions, while coastal areas and islands will experience slightly milder conditions at 40°C to 45°C. In the mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to remain more moderate, hovering between 34°C and 38°C.
The Arabian Gulf will be rough, posing challenges for maritime activities, and conditions in the Oman Sea are predicted to shift from slight to moderate, becoming rough by the evening.
Authorities are advising residents, particularly those with respiratory conditions, to take precautions against dust exposure and to remain cautious if traveling through areas affected by reduced visibility.
