Dubai: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast fair to partly cloudy weather across the UAE today, with increasing humidity likely to bring fog or mist to some coastal and inland areas overnight and into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will remain high, especially in the interior regions, where the mercury is expected to soar between 35°C and 39°C. Coastal and island areas can expect highs of 33°C to 37°C, while mountain zones may see temperatures ranging from 31°C to 36°C.

The hottest spot in the country on Thursday was Um Al Ghaf in Ras Al Khaimah, recording a sweltering 39.2°C at 2:15pm.

Northwesterly winds will blow at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 35 km/h, offering some relief. However, residents should be cautious near the coast, as rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to ease to moderate or slight by midday. The Sea of Oman will remain slight throughout the day.

Motorists are advised to stay alert, especially during early morning hours, as fog or mist could reduce visibility in low-lying and coastal regions.
