Al Ain: Fog again tested drivers’ nerves on Wednesday morning in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other inland areas causing extremely poor visibility.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) expect another foggy morning on Thursday, with humidity levels likely to rise in some coastal and inland areas.

On Wednesday, the NCMS reported visibility of just 50 metres in Liwa, 100 metres at Al Ain Airport and 200 metres at Jebel Ali airport.

Many motorists were not anticipating the fog and were caught in slow-moving traffic on highways.

Forecasters said a wide area of the country was under a dense cover of fog that started setting in late on Tuesday night.
