Dubai: It was yet another day of fog misery for people trying to reach office early on Monday.

Thick fog blanketed most parts of the UAE on Monday, making early morning drive to work a struggle.

People were seen driving with their vehicle's hazard lights on. "It was very confusing, people put the hazard lights on and they change lanes without giving any kind of indication. It is such a  dangerous practice," said a Sharjah-Dubai motorist.

Weather has been gradually changing with contrasting day and night temperatures and high humidity causing the fog, said a forecaster.

“Nothing is unusual about it, the only thing people should be worried about is driving carefully in fog affected areas,” said the forecaster.

Condensation of air carrying moisture causes fog and mist in areas where the temperature drops. Mostly it happens in the coastal and interior areas. High levels of humidity and calm conditions further contribute to the development of fog, the forecaster explained.
