UAE: Court department clears public auction of litigants’ assets in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department has announced a public auction of properties, including real estate, cars, and other movable assets, belonging to litigants and disputants. This auction aims to settle debts in cases with enforceable judicial decisions from the emirate’s courts.

Counsellor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Head of the Courts Department in Ras Al Khaimah, announced that a public auction is underway for six properties valued at around Dh56 million.

The auction was held on Tuesday at the Department’s headquarters. Al Khatri noted that the Department is committed to facilitating entry and participation for interested bidders, who must pay a deposit of 20% of the sale amount. The department anticipates strong participation in the auction.

Al Khatri noted that the Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department had established a specialised judicial committee that works with “reputable companies” to conduct public auctions via global electronic platforms, in addition to the department’s direct public auctions.
