Dubai: The Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Monday that Emirates Road is closed in both directions between Expo Road and Al Fayah Truck Road due to water accumulation.

“Road closure on Emirates Road in both directions between Expo Road and Al Fayah Truck Road due to water accumulation," RTA said on X.

Alternative route

Motorists traveling towards Dubai are advised to take Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, while those heading towards Abu Dhabi can use Expo Road as an alternative route.

RTA’s emergency team is dealing with the effects of the rain to restore smooth traffic flow, it added.
