One dead, three injured in Ras Al Khaimah accident

A Palestinian national died while three others sustained serious injuries in a road accident along Al Qarm Street.

Ras Al Khaimah: A Palestinian national died and three others sustained serious injuries in a road accident in Al Qarm Street.

A senior officer at the emirate's Traffic and Licensing Department said the victim M.A.S, 55, passed the U-turn without paying attention to the traffic flow. His car collided with a four wheel vehicle coming from the opposite side of the street.

The four-wheel vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Emirati identified as S.A and accompanied by his friend identified as H.M hit the victim's car which overturned and ran over a 26-year-old Bangladeshi national identified as M.A, standing by the street side.

The officer said that the Palestinian national died at the accident spot and the two Emiratis and the Bangladeshi national sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Saqr Hospital for treatment.

The two vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.

Ras Al Khaima Police launched an investigation into the accident.
