Man dies in truck collision

Ras Al Khaimah: A man died on Wednesday after his friend lost control of the truck he was driving and collided with another truck on the Emirates Road, near Al Tawiyeen Roundabout.

A Traffic and Licensing Department officer said the 31-year-old Pakistani, identified as A.Z., who was sitting in the passenger seat was pronounced dead at the accident scene, the driver identified as K.Q. sustained serious injuries. The officer added the Indian driver of the other truck was unharmed.

The injured driver is in intensive care at Saqr Hospital.
