Abu Dhabi: Parking in paid zones will be free on Saturday, April 14, on the occasion of Al Isra Wal Miraj, the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport announced in a statement sent on Thursday.

This means that parking fees for paid areas will resume at 8am on Sunday. The transport sector regulator, however, urged motorists to avoid parking in non-designated spaces, and to adhere to residential parking regulations from 9pm.

Paid parking has been introduced to new areas in Abu Dhabi. Standard parking will cost Dh2 per hour or Dh15 per day. Kerb stones of regular slots are painted in turquoise and black.
