Dubai to host rail safety conference next year

Dubai: Dubai will host the 27th International Railway Safety Conference next year, the International Railway Safety Council (IRSC) announced on Monday.

It will be the first time the conference will be held in the Mena region.

The event will offer an international platform for sharing expertise and identifying innovative solutions in the rail safety industry that is witnessing a remarkable growth in the region.

A statement to this effect was made in the final communiqué of the conference held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The five-day event, which will be organised in Dubai by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), will see exchange of experience and know-how for improving rail safety and sharing of global best practices.
