Three-day holiday for schools

The Ministry of Education and Youth announced yesterday that government and private schools will have a three-day Eid Al Fitr holiday starting on the last day of Ramadan.

The ministry also announced that for UAE National Day, all schools will be closed on December 2 and 3.

The ministry said the Eid Al Fitr holidays will not be extended to link with the National Day holidays.

The decision was made during a meeting of senior officials of the ministry yesterday under the directives of Dr. Ali Abdul Aziz Al Sharhan, Minister of Education and Youth, said Abdullah Ahmad Za'l, director of the Minister's office for Technical Affairs.
