Sharjah Safari is all ready to welcome you for its fifth season – the animal adventure-rich spot is reopening tomorrow, September 21.
The popular family-friendly destination has been closed since May this year. It used to be home to more than 120 species of animals and 50,000 creatures, ranging from birds to lions.
Now, thanks to its successful breeding and animal care programmes, the centre is teeming with new arrivals - 186 in fact - that include South African giraffes, elephants, lions, oryx, blue wildebeest, impala, nyala and zebra, among others.

Aisha Rashid Deemas, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah (EPAA), said the fifth season marks another step in Sharjah Safari’s continuous development. She added: “This season, we are bringing visitors closer to the many dimensions of the wildlife experience. Beyond observing animals in environments that reflect their natural habitats, visitors will have opportunities to discover the work and expertise behind their care. Our aim is for every visitor to leave Sharjah Safari with an enjoyable experience, deeper knowledge and a greater appreciation of our shared responsibility towards nature and wildlife.”
The park has 12 distinct areas inspired by Africa and designed to represent its terrain.
