Public parks have been prepared to entertain visitors during the Eid Al Adha holidays with an array of art performances and entertainment activities.

“The move is aimed at providing maximum entertainment and happiness for the residents and visitors of Dubai during the Eid days. Most of the programmes are targeting families and children considering the increased number of families visiting parks on special occasions,” said Eng Taleb Abdul Kareem Julfar, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department at Dubai Municipality.

The programmes will be conducted on the first three days of Eid in seven main parks in Dubai, including Al Mushrif Park, Al Safa Park, Al Mamzar Park, Creek Park, Jumeirah Beach Park, Zabeel Park and the zoo.

A variety of art performances by different nationalities will be carried out, such as Emirati traditional dances, African drummers, and a horse show.

All parks will remain open until 11pm.

“The number of park visitors during the last few years indicates the high rate of public interest in socialising with families, relatives and friends, spending the beautiful moments of life in the most attractive places of the city,” said Julfar.

“In a bid to meet the expectations of residents and considering the high level of health awareness, we have recently added several new residential and public parks in different areas of the emirate,” he added.
