A new machine that can treat acne has been launched at the Dubai Derma Conference this week.

Known as Isōlaz™ and developed by Aesthera, the machine offers the latest treatment in treating all types of acne. “The machine uses light technology to destroy the bacteria in the skin that causes acne,'' said Dr Michael H. Gold, renowned Dermatologist and Dermasurgeon who in is Dubai for the launch of the machine.

Distributed by Kalkium group, the machine will be given to licensed practitioners only and will be made available in the Middle-East for the first time.

Gold that assisted in the clinical trial of the machine and has used it for over a year and a half. The machine is available in most countries and has cured over thousands of patients he said. “I am currently conducting workshops and seminars to show dermatologists in Dubai how the machine functions.''

Explaining the procedure, Gold said, “The machine takes the skin into a vacuum and closer to broadband light where the light source is used. It stretches the skin and compresses the nerves so that the patient experiences minimum pain and discomfort.''

Every session takes about 15 minutes, said Gold, “It takes 2-4 sessions to cure 70-85 per cent of the ache. There should be an interval of 2 weeks between each session.''

Talking about side effects Gold said, “So far there been no side effects recorded by the machine. It is very important that such machines are in the hands of right people.''

In USA this is the only machine to get FDA approval for both inflammatory ache and well as non inflammatory acne like blackheads and whiteheads. “With the advancement of technology, these products can help us achieve maximum result with minimum effort,'' said Dr Gold.
